Setting more locations dwell in the dungeon, reminiscent of the Cloverfield 10 movie. But at least occasionally there was a scene outside the room, where Kevin visited his psychiatrist's consultant, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley). Or when Casey flashbacks to his childhood as he hunts deer with his father. This is not good to make the audience embarrassed, let alone for the audience who have a phobia of narrow space and dark.
What is unique in this movie is also of course because the story's perspective is not only taken from the protagonist, which in fact here is Casey. Because the development of the story precisely the antagonist of the Kevin. What causes Kevin to become a psychopath with a variety of personalities, and what his motivation to kidnap Casey and his colleagues, makes the audience curious as well as feel the horror throughout the film.
Overall, this movie is really exciting and curious. Not only that acting of the actors and actresses also managed to bring the audience feel the tension is quite thrilling. And this also becomes a little characteristic of M Night Shyamalan, which includes a stronger 'fictitious' element at the end, an 'unreasonable' scene that either makes the movie more interesting or vice versa, depending on the audience's judgment. Would the audience prefer a more realistic or slightly hyperbolic. What is clear to the end of the film, the story presented remains difficult to predict and quite unexpected.
